Clinical Samples

Our clinical samples are ethically sourced and HIPAA-compliant, with informed consent and/or IRB approval. Through our extensive network of donor centers, physicians and laboratories, we provide a diverse range of specimens to support researchers with varied and information-rich samples.

Clinical Conditions

We provide clinical samples from a wide range of conditions to support diverse research needs:

Disease-Free

Specimens  from healthy donors, serving as essential controls in various studies.

Infectious Disease

Specimens from individuals with bacterial, viral, or other infectious diseases, crucial for developing diagnostics and treatments.

Endocrinology

Specimens related to hormonal disorders, aiding research in conditions like thyroid dysfunction, adrenal disorders, reproductive disorders, and more.

Oncology

Cancer-related specimens, including various tumor types and stages, supporting advancements in cancer research and therapy development.

Cardiac

Specimens from patients with heart conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, vital for cardiovascular research.

Pregnancy

Specimens from pregnant individuals, useful for studies in maternal and fetal health, prenatal diagnostics, and pregnancy-related conditions.

Diabetes

Specimens from individuals with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, facilitating research into the pathophysiology, treatment, and management of diabetes.

Autoimmune

Specimens from patients with autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and multiple sclerosis, supporting research into immune system dysfunction.

Matrices Available

We can provide a wide range of matrices:

Blood

We offer a variety of blood matrices, including whole blood, plasma, and serum. These samples are essential for numerous research applications, from basic biological studies to advanced clinical trials.

Swabs

Our collection includes nasal, buccal, and throat swabs. These are particularly useful for respiratory and oral health research, as well as for detecting pathogens and conducting genetic studies.

Urine, Saliva, and Others Upon Request

We provide urine, saliva, and other clinically relevant samples, which are valuable for a wide range of diagnostic and monitoring purposes. We can accommodate requests for other types of matrices to meet specific research needs.

Biospecimen Sourcing

Prospective Collections

We offer prospective collections of clinical samples from various disease states, accompanied by comprehensive clinical data. Researchers have the flexibility to select samples based on specific donor characteristics, ensuring that the samples meet the precise requirements of their studies.

Remnant Clinical Samples

In  addition to prospective collections, we provide remnant clinical samples. These are leftover samples from routine clinical testing, which are repurposed for research. This approach not only supports sustainability but also offers a cost-effective solution for obtaining specimens.

Biospecimen Collection Types

Individual or Matched Sets

We offer both individual samples and matched sets, allowing researchers to choose based on their specific study requirements. Matched sets can include samples from the same donor collected in different matrices or at different times or from different donors with similar characteristics, providing valuable comparative data.

Fresh (Same Day Collection)

For studies requiring the highest level of sample integrity, we can provide fresh samples collected and shipped on the same day. This ensures that the biological properties of the samples are preserved, making them ideal for time-sensitive research applications

Temperature

Our human plasma samples are available under a variety of temperature conditions to ensure the integrity and quality of the specimens:

Room Temperature

Suitable for immediate use or short-term storage, ensuring convenience for quick research needs.

2-8 °C

Ideal for maintaining sample stability during short to medium-term storage and transportation, preserving the biological integrity of the plasma.

-20 °C

Provides a longer shelf life for the samples, preventing degradation and ensuring they remain viable for extended periods.

-80 °C

Ensures maximum preservation of the  samples, maintaining their quality and usability for long-term storage and future research applications.
